I stayed there in June. Didn’t have any problems with the campground and it was nice but I spoke with some long time campers that have been going there for years and have been complaining about the campground since the corporation took it over. They stated that things are changing, policies are changing and the office people sometimes are rude. I only experienced one rude office lady. They are also tearing out more trees near the highway to make room for more spots so this increases the noise level from the road.

Whats interesting is you people seem not to read your contracts with Drummer Boy.Its been like that for 3 years. Deal with it or go some where else. I can't wait till they make it all Seasonals. Then you folks won't trash our Campground.

If it becomes all "Seasonals", then can you really call it a Campground or does it just become a Trailer Park for folks that can't afford a double wide?

The last I checked my RV had wheels for moving around to other areas.

Chalk me up as never going there then

sure - its a business and rules are rules blah blah blah. The stiff tree breaks in the wind the supple tree meerly bends in the breeze

the market is (to a point) self correcting - thus when revenue drops the mgmt will have to review their business plan. Its just a matter of time

yep I'll exercise my free will in NOT going there

Last I heard we were free to post our opinions good or bad about CG's if we had a bad experience why shouldn't we be able to post it ( regardless of what others might think )

This is why I call the campground and ask if they will provide a refund if I can't make it. If they say no and are snots about it I say okay I will be showing up either late Friday or Early saturday so that they can't make double money on my site

Isn't this the beauty of free enterprise and freedom of speech? The private company gets to make (and enforce) their preferred commercial terms. We, as the free will customer get to accept (or not) their terms and pay for their service. Then, we of free will and unfiltered opinion, get to post on a website how crappy the company/place/service was so others can read and make up their own minds about using their own free will and judgment to choose to utilize the aforementioned services/product/company.

Seems like a good system to me! We should all be so happy that we have such freedoms.

(Sorry, been a long day and I'm punchy)

I can understand not giving a refund but a raincheck with a slight penalty payment makes better sense to me from a business standpoint.

I am glad that one of the things that this forum does is allow us to read, judge and then decide is we want to support the OP in also boycotting an establishment. I wouldn't do it for one complaint but after reading a few about the same place it helps other Rv's not make the same mistake.

This comment right here lets me know I would't want to go to this Campground. If seasonals make others feel unwelcome or unwanted then there isn't any point.
