Getting ready to clean my 5er up and wax it, what kind of wax do you all recommend? Is any black streak cleaner better than others?

Thanks for any and all help!

I've used both Nufinish and Maguiar's wax. I think the Mag is better, but is sure does look streaky in sunlight and is a lot more work to buff.

Protect All Polish, Wax & Treatment. As for black streak remover I've found any brand is fine as long as it is used in direct sunlight, the hotter the surface the better.

I am assuming your RV is gelcoat (perhaps with some vinyl decals). My motorhome is painted steel on the lower third and the top two thirds is unpainted gelcoat with vinyl graphics.

On the gelcoat and graphics, I use three products:
stage 1: Meguiar's Color Restorer
stage 2: Meguiar's High Gloss Polish
stage 3: Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wax

My rig has been in the weather for 5 years and, aside from a few scratches and dings, it looks like new.

I jsut finished mine using Mothers California gold. It was a bit of work to buff it out but the results are outstanding.

I used it on my gel-coated front cap. Hand applied and buffed. Couldn't tell the difference between the Protect-All I had been using or Nu-Finish. I reapplied with a buffer and waiting to see if it does any better. I would rather use Protect-All or Nu-Fish for ease of application and removal.

Spray on Turtle Wax ... real easy. No hard buffing.Spray on wipe off.
We have a 38ft fiver and can wash & wax in one day.
