So picked up our new (used) HR Vacationer on Thursday. DW took all morning on Friday to get the stuff we had from our HTT into the MH. We upgraded from a 23ft HTT to this 34FT MH and my wife actually called me at work to complain the she does not have enough cupboard space (go figure) Maybe a 58ft semi trailer would have been better for her.
I went home from work early on Friday and as soon as mini me came from school we took off. We started our weekend for grocery shopping at Wal Mart and we teased our daughter that this is where we stay for the weekend since everybody else seems to do it. She was disappointed but ok with it.
From here we went for an hour and a half drive to a local provincial park. We found a nice site and backing up was a breeze. Set up was done in just minutes (not like hours like in the HTT). I was pulling out the awing when my wife asked about dinner. I just told her to set up first (not being used to do this in 5 minutes) and she just yelled at me since there for nothing to set up
I spend most weekend reading the owner manuals (yes I know first time ever I touch one of those)
We had a nice weekend and NOTHING BROKE However we went to West Edmonton Mall on our way home to stop at the water park. My wife got some special tickets for $5 instead of $30 or so and they were only valid this morning. I parked the MH along a fence on the side. All looked good.
We got back from the pool 3 hours later and were completely part in.
I was getting so upset but to me and DW surprise I actually managed to get out (that thing drives just like a smart car )
Now I got my TO DO list.
1. get beer
2. get NuFinish to polish the MH
3. check caulking
4. get more beer
5. wash and polish the MH
and 6. have a beer.
I am glad everything went well. Yes, beer does help!
I took my RV camping for the first time ever on Thursday. The old thing ran great as another couple followed us and they tent camped beside my Class C. The only thing we forgot was a sauce pan but we got one at Dollar General for $6.
