I was wondering if anyone has mounted anything to the walls of there Raptor /Toy Hauler??...like the E-Track that is on the floor...you can buy all kinds on e-track goodies...so i was wondering if i could mount some E-Track and some other things so i could hang a ladder, hang ropes, cords, mount more rex stuff or other shelves and such..also if we can will a stud finder pick up where the aloy studs are??

I have installed some tie-down tracks on the garage walls of my 3814, but only to bungy things like chairs, yard games, etc. so that they stay against the wall. These are all items that rest on the floor, so that the wall is not bearing the weight.

A good friend of mine that has a 3612 has installed the same e-track on the wall that we have on the floor, but he too uses it only to secure items against the walls that are resting on the floor.

I haven't tried a stud finder on the walls, but my buddy has. He said that it didn't work, but sometimes you can actually 'see' the studs from the outside in the early morning when the dew is present.

If I remember, I'll take a few pictures of the tracks I installed and post them here.

Also..what about the roof?...mine does not have the two rear queen beds..so the first 8x8 ceiling is 9' high...a perfect spot to hang two 8' poly kayak's from the roof up out of the way....but there when you need them...campground with river, streem, lake, bay..or whatever?

In my 3814's garage, the only studs I could find were next to the windows - I mounted 2 fold-down shelves to set my toolbox on when parked.

The "dew method" mentioned above really tells the story.

Enjoy!

As said above, sometimes when I go out in the morning and it's a little cold, I can see outline of the wall studs on the trailer. I live full time in it and it might be from the inside being warm.
