Just took some pics of my little bachelor pad down here in Ocala FL.
Figured I would share them with "ya'll"

View from patio( nice to wake up in the morning to horses outside your window)

Another view from patio.( that white blob on the right is link the pig)

Front

Trellis ( I just slapped this thing together to keep the pig out of my plants. Not a whole lot of time or love put into this.
Should look nice when my jasmine plants grow up it.)

Patio (Most nights are spent out here)

Little bar area (still need stools, But this was all free. Old fence boards power washed good as almost new.)

Baby elephant ear plants & sandle rack. ( rack is great for hosing off sandles. They get pretty dirty here on the farm.)

Skirting (this was a pain because I skirted it out of old horse fence boards. A lot of work but free!)

Elephant ears (my favorite plant. Transplanted from my neighbors yard and oh yeah free!)

Kitchen / dining area (love the front kitchen. That thing under the microwave is an ice maker. I am not done with this mod yet, But I love not having to buy ice anymore! Did I mention I like free things.)

Kitchen (gotta have the Adobo!!!!!)

Where you can usually find me. Ocala or The Villages

Fireplace (one of my favorite add ons. $175 and it looks like its always been there.I use it every night for looks and use it for heat as well on the cold winter nights. Coffee table was a yard sale left over for free. Painted to match.)

shower (roomy with a seat. I put the little fish and dolphin decals all the way around the top to keep with the whole fish / fishing theme)

Soap shampoo thingy. Also curtain rod for drying things.

More wallpaper border and added paper towel holder in bath.

bedroom tv (This will be swapped out with a wall mount flat screen. A good place for a stick up though!)

Bed (That is me in the picture on the night stand not holding the biggest bass I ever caught but the biggest I have on a picture. 6lbs 2 oz.)

Can

Desk / tv (desk was left over at a yard sale for free. Painted it blue to match the rig.)

I had to add this little gem that I have on my table. Used to have bud light salt & pepper shakers but were destroyed from rain. The two black "toothpick holders" are actually jagermeister shot glasses.
And oh yeah,Given to me for FREE!

Dogs keep digging up the grass here

Night shot, ( looks really nice at night but you cant tell because of my camera)

Hope I posted this in the right area.
Cheers

Thanks, Yeah I love it here!
My next mod I will be doing is putting on a roof, And screening in the patio. I really do not need the screen because of all the tree frogs I get very few mosquitoes. I think it will look nice though.

Looks real nice and comfortable - well done. Good lesson as to how far some creativity can go on a shoestring budget.

Here are some pics of some of the horses on the farm:

Buckler AKA Buckey ( If I bet on her she looses, If I dont she wins. I will just watch her for now on!

Hooper (This mare is for sale and the most mellow horse you will meet.Great bloodlines from what I understand.)

Ivy (pretty, pretty horse but she has a bit of attitude in her! She chased me right after I took this shot. Yet I am the one that hand fed her the grass hanging out of her mouth. B#TCH!!!!

Magic Missile (I am just getting to know this girl and she is a sweetheart.

Pegain (peggy sue runs this farm. Great horse. I love her!!!!!

Baby Shinner (unfortunately this girl is for sale as well)

Me, Magic & Buckey ( Yes my right arm is about to be bit and was.)
And yes I am the only jackass walking around a farm on bare feet!

I like your picture of the old man in the mountain on your wall. Are you sure you aren't from NH?

No I am from Mass originally but made many trips up to the white mountains in my days mostly as a kid. The old man brings back great memories from my childhood. I was sad to see him go.

Nifty....

Tell me more about that fireplace. Where did you find it and who makes it?
