Does anyone have a particular site/space they like at Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone and if so why? Thank you in advance, Mike.

Depends on how long your rig is. If you have a 32' TT & truck, or shorter, I'd highly recommend the back-in sites around the edges of the CG, particularly along the back (south) edge. Our site (#15) was on the southeast corner and overlooked meadows, pines & the Yellowstone plateau in the distance. If you have a long rig, though, you'll need a pullthrough site, which seemed to be pretty much in the middle.
I'm not sure they pre-reserve specific sites there, just specific types.

I agree with kknowlton.
The back-in sites along the south perimeter are good. We have stayed in 20 and 21 recently and liked them, they are across from the laundry/toilets. In October the staff recommended those as their favorites. I asked for those sites when we were there this August, and they put a note on our reserevation, but couldn't promise anything, but gave us what we requested.

Grizzly was probably the second best campground we've ever stayed in; the first is Fort Wilderness in DisneyWorld.

There isn't a bad site in the park! We have generally had a site in the middle. We have been there in Sept and July

Site number 30 (back in) has your doorway opening onto the national forest (open field with many trees) with nothing blocking the view. Saw several deer, coyotes etc from windows. Reserved the site twice in the fall with no problems. That being said, I really dont think any site is a bad one. Park is well kept and clean, employees are outstanding.

We were in site 100 and really liked it. Close to the main building for access to laundry and coffee room. This has to be the best park that we have stayed at to date. Never met more polite and accomodating people.

I agree with the others--not a bad site in the park--however--our favorites are any of the pullthroughs at the end of the rows--either end-- because of the huge grass area that goes with it.

Yes! Opening that was logged off at one time, small trees growing up,view of several hundred yards, not as filled with large trees as surrounding area. View not blocked by other RV,s, small fence between site and national forest. Yep...view is not blocked. Sometimes maybe more words are needed to explain what others can figure out .
