Was wondering if any member(s)owns or knows someone who owns a LTV FreeFlight. We have a 1/2 page piece of literature and the info you can see on the LTV website. Appears some dealers contacted that had one sold it. Would be interested in hearing FIRST HAND from a owner (or someone that knows a owner) their opinions, experiences, quality, available storage(any under twin beds), comfort of single power beds, macerator system, permanent closed bath, how it handles on the Chevy chassis, etc. etc.. And, maybe they are so rare that no member has ever seen one. Company says they are making the 2009 model year now. Thanks.

Have seen 2 in person, and own a Chevy in the PW Lexor. The interior quality of the Free Flights' we saw was a MAJOR step down from either a Roadtrek 190 or a PleasureWay Lexor.
Of course in the Chevy chassis, you arguably get the best handling & performing chassis in the B business, (currently being produced).

Saw them being built at the factory last year. Nice product. I disagree with the above observation, but that's not what your looking for. Interior fit/finish was good. There are always changes after the first model year. We have had excellent service from our LTV. In the five years of ownership, we have never had a coach related problem! LTV was recently purchased by Triple E Industries. I hope their product quality and service continues as always...

I currently own a 2008 LTV FreeFlight. I have owned four Class Bs in the past. I will try to answer a few of your questions. The Chevrolet chassis is the best I have ever ridden on. Very smooth and stable. The leather seats are very comfortable with full power in all directions. There is storage under the twin beds, but you must fight the heater and ducts, water pump, electric lines and assorted braces and impediments. Very irregular. A large overhead cabinet above drivers compartment holds large items. The beds are firm. I make up the back into a king bed configuration for sleeping. I have used a macerator previously and consider it the only way to go. I am a large sized person, but find the enclosed bath and toilet usable. Don't plan on standing upright in the space. My wife is pleased with the arrangement. My only problem has been with the air conditioner which was improperly installed. Working fine now. The 20 foot length is great for everyday driving. Definitely get the back up monitor. We just passed the 8,000 mile mark in the first five months. Great to drive. We have averaged 14-16 mpg. Will respond to further specific questions.

Thank you, your info is very helpful;andI know it will be to some other forum readers who are also interested in the FreeFlight. 8K miles in 5 mo.-you are driving! How does it compare overall to your 4 other B's (brands?)? Quality of workmanship-cabinets,etc. inside? Is it quite & tight when driving roads/interstates? Bath--can't stand upright--I'm 5'9?? Flip down bath sink--work ok? Wardrobe/closet--room inside? M/W oven--easy to use at it's height? Beds--power inclining--have not seen before. Is the system heavy duty and work good? A sales person at LTV told me they are now adding a ultra leather sofa for the 09 model. Don't know about any other changes from 08 model.

Dealer you purchased from? I just located 1 on the west coast-3K miles from us- $80.7K MSRP. Many members of this forum seem to be very happy with other models of LTV's, and the same for RT&PW. We have been looking in the 20'under size, though maybe 22'. Am sure other readers here will appreciate your input.

I bought mine at RV World in Lakeland,fl. I had three Roadtreks and one on a Dodge chassis that I have forgotten the name. Workmanship is good. Only thing that rattles is the sink cover. The ride is great with excellent maneuverability. Fip up sink is very convenient. You won't be able to stand in bath. Sit down shower is no problem. Wardrobe is large area-tapers from 28" deep at bottom to 22"at top. I put in shelves. Microwave is small and up high. The upper 1/3 of bed rises with press of button. I do not use this item. We chose this model for the enclosed bathroom. Wife loves it.

I see where RV World in Nokomis, and Lakeland each have one in stock, I had been in contact with Rick Ford in Nokomis several weeks ago.

Regarding storage underneath each bed is there much storage?

I do like the idea with no windows on the top/roof, no problems of leaks, and like the large overhead cabinet, is there any problem using the flip up sink?

Is there much outside storage?

Is there much storage in the wall cabinets?

If you need warranty service for the conversion part are you authorized to take it to any RV dealer?

In your Free Flight how is the headroom?

It is my understanding that the 2009 Free Flights will have 3 inches of more height, Interior and Exterior.

When you registered the Free Flight is it registered as a 2007 Chevrolet as I know no Free Flights were build on a 2008 Chevy Chasis,
or is it registered as a 2008 Free Flight?

aquillacicada,

Don't know if you are aware of the Blue Ridge Leisure's it is a group of owners of Leisure Travel Vans (LTV) in the greater middle Atlantic Area. Members reside in North Caroline, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York.

Check it out at www.yahoogroups.com, under BlueRidgeLeisures, you would have to join.

TO: aquillacicada and sergeant76

aquillacicada--Thanks again for sharing info with me and others on your new LTV FreeFlight. We like the outside looks and inside floor plan; and ofcourse that great Chevy chassis. At 5'9 and not being able to stand upright, even to shave is of concern.

Maybe as sergeant76 reported the plans are to increase the 2009 model by 3" height and 3" exterior (length?) will make a difference in the bath height. Plus, they are adding a ultra leather sofa option for lg. bed or 2 single beds. Hopefully, LTV will put out some info soon and update their website.
