We have 6 bottles from two wineries in the Moab area we have to figure out were to store. They will probably be tucked in back under the sofa. Right now they are just wedged in front of the sofa on the floor between the ottomans.
The wine cubes from Target Salianron mentioned come in two sizes. The smaller cubes will fit in an overhead cabinet of a Sprinter Pleasure-Way Plateau exactly two deep. Very efficient storage. Unfortunately, Target does not sell the wine in Minnesota for us so we can't buy any until we reach Iowa or Wisconsin on our travels.

We purchase the 500ml containers of Wine by Vendange. They contain a little bit more than two glasses... which is just right for two people at mealtime.
See at http://www.vendange.com/CBICMS/vendange/destinationwines.html
if that link doesn't work (They need age verification for some silly reason), try going to the home page and then clicking on "destination wines" at the top of the page and find "Tetra Paks."

We buy it by the case, store most in the refrigerator and store the rest under the bed (2008 Roadtrek 210V).

As I mentioned in my earlier post on this topic, we carry the little 187 ml bottles. There is a nice variety of wines available in this size, including champagne. We also carry a 750 ml plastic "Traveler bottle' of bourbon for cocktails. It is flat and easier to store. I don't see them around much so I refill it from a larger bottle. In a B, size does matter, smaller and lighter are preferred. We like to add a dollop of peach schnapps to our champagne so we also carry a 187 ml bottle of it (also filled from a bigger bottle). This is the extent of our traveling bar. I always like to enjoy a cocktail and glass of wine with dinner and see no reason not to go first class when traveling in our RV.
We also enjoy visiting wineries in different states. If we buy some of their product, we usually arrangwe to have it shipped home.
Everyone's needs and tastes are different but somehow can be accomodated even in the limited space available in a Class B.

I was able to mount the rack with two small bolts through the slide wall:

All that is visible outside are the two silver bolt heads and washers, and they do not interfere with the slide operation or the seals:

Thanks to everyone for the great suggestions. We don't have wall space for a wine rack and our cabinets are too low. I bought two 3 liter "boxes" of wine today and also some of the smaller Vendage boxes. I plan to follow Ernie's advice and try to reuse them. The boxes will go in the plastic tray that we slide under the bed. I'm afraid putting wine bottles between the mattress and the wall might result in a "wine bath" for us. We have used boxed wine in the past, for canoe camping, don't know why I didn't think of it. Duh!

Jim,
Thanks for the pics. Now I can see how the rack holds all the weight of the bottles. I thought maybe you had it screwed into an interior wall with snap bolts. But slide walls have more beef. Nice job. I think I'll add one!

We purchased neoprene "bottle totes".They have them at Camping World website (search for bottle totes)but they are way expensive. I've found them at Marshall's, Ross and Home Goods for about 1/3 of Camping World's price.
I use my bottom kitchen drawer as my "wine rack" and store 6-8 bottles (in the totes) in the drawer or any place really as they are protected by the neoprene.

I store mine in the underseat storage area beside the microwave. I store other food items that are heavy down there. It doesn't get hot. If you haven't been to Chateau Morrisette Winery at Milepost 171.5, try to get up there. It is a beautiful setting, good wine, and a great restaurant. There are a couple of other wineries close by there, too.

It is difficult to recommend a storage method because the layout, and particularly the layout for storage, varies so much from one model to the next. In our Sportsmobile Sprinter we have a fairly large, enclosed space on the floor under the countertop that we use to store wine and other liquids. I made a partitioned box for that space that holds 10 bottles. This is pretty much ideal because the weight is kept low, the bottles can't run into each other, and the box rests against the forward bulkhead so that it cannot slide forward in case of a panic stop or collision.
