Hey engineer9860,Had a great flight on the Aluminum Overcast this last May out the the Boeing Museum of Flight..The flight after ours had an 85 year old guy that had just finished his pilot training at WSU as the war was ending and since he was 5'6" they made him a belly gunner...Also got a full walk-thru in the one at McMinnville...
GO COUGARS

Ride Rite air bags
AFE Stage1 air-inlet
4"MBRP exhaust
Hellwig rear sway bar 2005 Keystone COUGAR 304BHS
Tekonsha Prodigy
1200 Equalizer hitch
2008 Thomas w/Mercedes-Benz 78 pass. school bus
i'm currently towing ~9,800lbs with my 8.1 burb 2500... the only thing i MIGHT change is the rear-end... i've got the 3.73, and occasionaly, going through mountains, i'll get some gear hunting... otherwise, it pulls all day long. i can also give you first-hand feedback on comparison towing: i've towed this same travel trailer with a diesel excursion... i'd take the burb, no question. the burbs QUIETER, handles better, more comfortable... just a better travel vehicle all around.
btw- 11mpg around town (driving on eggshells- 12mpg AT MOST), 8 pulling the camper... and yes, i maintain my rig...

That's great!
This is the first year in many years I didn't get to see a B-17.
It was a busy year, and I didn't get time to go see any when they were in my area.
Anyway, kudos to you for helping "keep 'em flying"
I have an 03 2500 4 x 4 Suburban with 8.1 liter. I don't drive it regularly but around town I get 11.4 - 12 depending on how I drive. Towing a 28' enclosed trailer weighing about 6500 lbs. @ 75 mph I got 9.4 mpg and at 80-85 mph it was 8 mpg. But even at 80 mph it drove like a Cadillac.
Just from my experience.
