Went from a 25 to a 29 and found no difference in mileage or towing on the road. The problem is when making turns,you just need more room. My real problem is parking and leaving room for the slides because trees can be in the way. More length,bigger slides,more room needed at campsite.

Wheelbase of TV compared to length of TT makes a huge difference in stability on the road.
