I remember hearing something in a RT video about a manual bypass to allow you to drain your tanks if the macerator pump fails. I can't seeem to find anything on our 2006/2007 RT/RS that would allow this. Does anyone know how to drain the tanks if there is a failure?

On my RT Agile (2008), I don't have a bypass, but I do have a crank to turn if the pump fails. I tried cranking it and decided that I hope the macerator never fails!
Mine is located next to the gray valve.

that crank is to help unclog the system if needed, it will not empty tanks

On my 2007 RT-170 I have a 2.5 end cap at the " Y " pipe that the mascerator is hooked up to so I imagine that you could hook up something there to drain your tank if the macerator graps out.

I do not believe there is any way to bypass a Roadtrek installed macerator pump since all models I have seen use ABS pipe which is cemented together up to the pump. Also the pumps on models I have seen are placed under the van on the passenger side making a bypass which exits out the driver's side difficult I would believe.
That is why the plumbing for the macerator pump I installed in my 2002C 190P is after Roadtreks original blue dump hose. If the pump ever fails (has not), I only need to remove a pair of stainless steel hose clamps and two screws and I have the original RT dump system until I repair the pump.

I have found the following product to be very useful for draining the tanks in my Pleasure-Way...

It's available from the same source as ARcruiser's dehydrated water.
...sorry...not helpful...I just couldn't resist

Our 2006 Roadtrek RS has what could be used as a manual dump on the passenger side. It is a 2 1/2 inch cap just before the macerator pump. I had the occasion to use it when our macerator "froze up" so solidly that it could not be turned at all by the manual handle and blew fuses when the pump button was pressed.
I removed the 2 1/2 inch cap (with the gray and black valves CLOSED of course) and washed out the open plumbing with water hose. Looking into the open pipe with a flashlight I could actually see the macerator pump chopping blades, though I didn't know at the time just what I was looking at.
I ended up removing the macerator pump and found a nylon clamp jammed into the chopping blades. Knowing how it is all put together now, I think I could have fished the clamp out of the pump using a 1/16 inch welding rod bend with a hook on the end through the cleanout cap without having to remove the pump.
I can only guess that the clamp fell into one of the tanks during manufacture.
In any event, I am sure that one could make an adaptor to screw into the 2 1/2 inch fitting in place of the cap and attach a hose to manually dump the tanks. Although some solids from the black tank might have trouble turning the corner in the shaped sewer pipe (see picture).
