Last trip of the year, so sad!

Had a great time at Cherry Creek SP in Colorado last weekend. It's very close to home, but a great getaway! The fall leaves were amazing in color and the temps were just right, warm days, cool nights!
We were in the Abeline loop site #9. A great spot! Backed to a grove of trees and was very private. Although the park was booked, the sites are spaced out well, so you don't intrude on neighbors.
Took ol' Hershey to the lake and let him chase tennis balls for awhile. I think he had the best time of all! Makes it real handy having the exterior shower to hose him off after a day at the beach!

This was out first tow with the new Titan. Awesome TV! My '04 was a supurb 1/2 ton TV, but the improvements apparent in the '08 make a great truck even better. The rear suspension is a tad softer, and some tweaking to my EQ hitch is in order, nothing major. The truck handled the load well considering we had 3 mountain bikes in the bed.
The biggest thing I noticed with the new Titan is the available power above 2500 rpm. The '07+ Titans have variable valve timing (VVT) and greatly improves feel at speed. In my '04, the truck felt a little out of breath at speed, whereas the new one has a noticible bump in power. Mileage has also improved to 10mpg towing, 16 mpg non towing. Up from 9/14.

Ahhh... now to winterize!

Wow, great pictures. The leaves still are green and on the trees, why do you have to winterize so early? Looks like you could take a few more short trips and enjoy the beach with the dog.

Well - somebody had to say it - so I will. CO Park rules, as ell as Arapahoe County require all dogs to be on leash!
I know, I know - I do not need/wish to be flamed. Just wish folks would not scoff at tour laws.

Where is my post quoting the CO state park dog laws???

Violating campground dog rules give all law abiding pet owners a bad rap and does nothing but cause dog owners to lose access to campgrounds.
