TinyPic.Com has added some spam protection, which adds an extra step. I have added the extra step to the tutorial.
Of the host sites I have tried, I find TinyPic.Com to be the one I used most often for posting pictures here. It requires no registration. Just upload the picture to TinyPic, copy the link, paste it here. Note: I have two browser windows open, when doing this. One window is the forum's message window, and one is for TinyPic.Com
Use your browser's' standard open window to find and select the picture on your computer's hard drive and click on the Open button.
Click the Upload Now button
A spam protection window will open.
Click in the edit field, type in the two words, and click on the UPLOAD NOW! button.
Select the IMG Code URL, second from the top, and paste it into a post or PM. Note: clicking on the URL copies it.
The above assumes that the picture size meets the forum's recommended maximum dimensions.
Maximum width = 640 pixels
Maximum height = 480 pixels
Maximum file size = 100 KB
If the dimensions of the picture are too large, you can have TinyPic.Com resize the picture when you upload it, by using the Resize drop-down menu to select Message Board (640x480).
Or, you can copy the Direct Link for Layouts
Open the Message Windows Image tool, , paste the link in the URL field, and enter any value less than or equal to 640 in the width field. Leave the height field blank. Click on Finished.

It has been added to the FAQs, which I will rework as time premits. I plan on doing a similar thread for a couple more hosts sites. I did TinyPic first because it is the one that I use most often.
There is a search function. Do you add tags to your pictures? You might try something unique and see if you can find it. I imagine you would have more features if you joined; I have not.
Or, you could do as I do. Using a Word document, I keep a link file with a brief description of the picture. If I want to find one, I do a find in the Word document.
Please note: TinyPic does not keep pictures indefinitely, at least with the same URLs for non-members.

So much for that idea....why can't it be as easy as IRV2,com where all you have to do is attach the pic to your reply?
( just a rhetorical mini rant, you needn't reply )
