Situation resolved. The company pro-rated and replaced all 4 tires. Needless to say, we didn't replace them with the same brand of tire.

Healeyman... I hope you didnt buy tires from that company.

As a matter of fact, I did. The price was REALLY good (4 for the price of 3). I also bought the rotate & balance (but not road hazard/warranty) coverage.

I drove home (less than 1/4 mile away) and took wheels and tires off of the Mustang and had the tire store dismount the old tires for free.

I took the 4 new tires home and mounted them on my wheels and on the Mustang myself, then took the Mustang back to the tire dealer and had them rotated and balanced.

I also bought a lifetime front end alignment (for $99) and now they rotate, balance, and align, every 5K miles.

I have since gotten new tires from them (same procedure) and we've been doing this for 7 years.

Now, we're on a first name basis and they still do a really good job. Of course, I let them "road test" the car before I pick it up. The mechanics like driving, and being seen, in it.

There's just something about a Classic car with a great set of dual glasspacks that stirs up the testosterone.

Tim
