Hi HeresLucy,
Any idea what caused the blowout?
Thanks,
Paul

No clue. It was the inside of the left front tire. I guess we were lucky - I saw a picture of another coach where the tire was shredded and damage to their coach.

Perhaps this is just a coincidence but about 1 hour later a car had a blowout in about the same spot. My DH was sitting in the driver seat and said "Brace yourself".. he thought the gal was going to run into us as she tried to stop. She said her tires were brand new.

I hope these are VERY GOOD tires, we just had a set put on today.. Six 275X70RX22.5 H rated.. $3194 and change.. We should have bought them last spring, they have went up 18% since May.. The tires were $417 a piece, but it's all the other stuff that runs the price up, federal taxes, balance, new stems, labor, and sales taxes.. Oh well that's what we got these things for I guess, LOL.. We're ready to head South now..

I had to replace my two front G670's (275/80R22.5) due to excessive inside wear after 2 years and 18,000 miles. This was due to front end alignment and not the tires. I replaced them with like G670's. After a year and 8,000 miles they still look like new. The rear tires are original G670's with 26,000 miles and three years. They are wearing well and look good. No cracks in the sidewalls.
One nice thing about G670's is you don't have to cover them to protect them from the sun.

I had the 670s on the gasser we had before this and they were a fine tire...no problems.

Hi
We got a set of them for our rig about three months ago and have put 8,000 mi+ on them. Drove them in 115f heat and in Death Valley, in pouring rain and wicked wind on twisty narrow roads and up and down serious hills with nary a problem. We like them. They may have improved the ride a tiny bit. Improved the handling somewhat particularly at speed in the wet. Can't say that they performed any miracles either.
