Long read so sorry but this just seemed to drive home my recent "let them be dumb" atitude.
Last week end we stoped at a flying J for fuel. Right be hind me pulled in a nice shinny new trailer, new tow vehical and even a new harly in the back of the pickup. We pulled up to the fuel pumps and they pulled up to the dump sight. Well out of the truck comes this Paul Sr.(orange county choppers) biker want-a-bee and his trophy wife. This guy had the gray hair and stach, harly mucle shirt and beer belly and she looked like she steped of the set of sons of anarchy.
Any way "Paul" starts pulling out the tubs and hoses and the trophy wife takes their little dog out for a walk. As Paul starts to play with his hoses a younger couple with an older trailer pull up be hind them in line to dump. Right away Paul yells out...."This is going to take a long time. This trailer has a "flusher" and it will not dump clean unless I let it run."
Oh boy here we go I think.. Now this guy pulled in right with me. I am already fueling and he has not even started dumping and is telling some one it is going to be a long time. The guy from the older trailer walks up to see what he is doing just as he fianaly starts to put on the dunp hose. Then he hooks up the garden hose and turns on the water and starts explaining to the young guy what he is doing as he just stands their and lets the water run.
In my mind I am thinking.....Look at his rig....look at his toy.....look at his trailer....look at his wife...Look at him....all NEW.....don't listen to this guy......
Too late....Paul Sr. starts to walk over to their trailer ....I hear him say...."You have to have one. You can't get all the poo and paper out without one."
ARG
He is doing it...dump sight ediquit is getting knocked back deckades..... This newbe is leading this young couple astray...
Now this Paul wanabee is standing their by the older trailer and has the young couple even under their trailer looking for the "FLUSHER" that they "have to have". While the water is running on his "new" trailer.
Well I was done fueling....gone in and paid....came out and parked my RV and grabed a soda to wait for Paul Sr. to get done with his flusher. At least another 10 minutes go buy since I pulled away and then finaly Paul turns off the water and starts putting things away. Trophy wife walks back with the little dog (by the way DW was exing our dogs and said trophy wife never picked up after their fido)and they finaly load up and pull out.
I move my RV in line behind the young couple and their older trailer to dump.
I start to walk up to the young couple (hoping to much damage was not done) and before I can say word one the guy says....DID YOU SEE THAT GUY. I whent up to see if HE needed any help and he starts telling ME how every thing works. He would not listen to me even when I told him I dont have one. I just started looking to shut him up...

Any way we had a good time laughing about the Paul Sr. wan-a-bee while he quickly dumped and put away his stuff.

I thought you were going to say he overfilled his black tank while running around being Mr. Big Shot.
THAT would have been funny for sure.

I've seen enough "baloney" at FlyingJs that I could write a book. I even saw 2 RV wrecks at the pumps. Once I saw 2 RVs pulled nose to nose at the propane fill and both were towing. It was a stand off, neither would back up. I told them to toss a coin but each stood his ground. Finally, an announcement came over the loud speaker that so and so had to back up. He was so mad that he jack knifed his Jeep into the rear of his motorhome.
FJs, I try to avoid them at all costs. That penny a gallon isn't worth it! But they are good if you need entertained!!
