We have ultra leather and I agree it is an amazing material. We have kept ours covered because we had cats. Cat's nails will make punchture holes when they jump up on the couch and off. Dog's nails don't seem to do as much damage.

I don't like to sit on it in hot weather with shorts on though...fells hot but far better than old style vinyl. In cold weather it feels cold until warmed by body heat.

But I'd prefer it over fabric for some furniture.

2003 Mon Dipl dp. 50,000 miles, Three Rottweiler dogs. The largest 105lbs. The other two are 80lbs,
They own the J lounger. Ultra leather through out. Its tough stuff. Its holding up very well. The dogs like to sit in the passenger and drivers seats when were not there. I'm 6'1", 225. With all that, these seats are holding up nicely, Shouldn't worry , the material is tough. Should do ok with your little pups.

Both our former and present MHs have Ultra-leather. It does get soiled, but is very easy to clean . . . I actually use 409 and a damp sponge with no problems or damage. We've had no damage from our cat jumping on/off the Ultra-leather. She has only rear claws, but rear claws definitely can cause holes/tears when cats jump from fragile surfaces such as soft plastic and/or fabric. However, sharp objects and certain continuous stresses will tear Ultra-Leather (and real leather). After purchasing our first motorhome (pre-loved), we discovered there was a one inch "ragged" hole torn in the back of the passenger seat, which was caused by the former owner continually reclining it against the wood edge of the sofa frame. We had the tear repaired at a leather repair shop and the cost was about $200. They admitted that it was one of the hardest repairs they had ever done, but the repair was beautiful, durable and undetectable from the undamaged Ultra-leather. And we covered the sofa frame edge with a self-adhesive padded fabric to prevent future stress tears.

Wow, great to hear such ringing endorsements from owners of Ultraleather! This stuff must really be good. Glad I saw this thread.

Since we are all in agreement that Ultraleather is good stuff, allow me to have a little fun:

Do you know how many Ultras are killed just to make ONE couch? It won't be long before Ultras are placed on the endangered species list because we are encouraging others to buy Ultraleather. If we had to look into the dead eyes of an Ultra as it is being harvested for its skin, we wouldn't be so happy with our upholstery. I'm surprised that our friends at PETA aren't spray painting "Save the Ultra" on the sides of our coaches!

We share our MH with two very active and athletic hunting dogs and one small house dog. Virtually all of the furniture is ultraleather. Zero problems.
