I've got the same problem, my pump just plain doesn't. I used it a couple weeks ago to winterize but when I tried it again the other day to make sure I'd gotten the pink stuff to the outside shower, the pump didn't come on, didn't buzz, didn't hum or anything. Just plain dead. Wondered if the pink stuff might have gotten a little stiff (and it will get slightly crystalized when the temperature gets down in the teens) and kept the pump from pumping, but still the motor should have hummed or buzzed. But not too surprised, this is my third pump in 4 1/2 years, all under warranty.
