Does anyone have experience with or know if dealers will offer discounts on extended protection policies or on insurance policies for coaches? I know there are differing views on whether extended protection is worth it. I am purchasing a new 07 which could suffer to some extent from the affects of sitting essentially unused for 2 years.

Do a search on this, you'll have DAYS of reading.

Sure, why not!! About 50% of the cost is the selling dealer profit, some will cut some to make the sale.

But Consumer Reports says NOT to buy them unless you know you're buying a high maintenance product. If that's so I won't buy the product!!

welcome to the forum. Yes they can discount these massively because they are mostly profit. and if you read a few posts using the search box above you'll have many opinions about how useful they are or aren't. FWIW we chose not to buy one despite the repricing the dealer offered after I said no.

Check the internet for sources other than dealers. We bought ours for way less than half what the dealer wanted. They are all a pain to work with but we cannot say that we are too displeased with ours. We are $ ahead.

If you say no to $3,000 the price will magically become $1,500.
