There were a lot of posts over the last few months about high fuel prices. Now that prices have dropped so much, what is the difference in your state between gas & diesel prices? Here in NJ, it's about $1 per gallon. In my area, at Flying J diesel is $2.47 & a my local station gas is $1.43. The ULS Diesel is about all you can find in New Jersey, not many LSD pumps are around.

I've heard that out west, the difference in price between diesel & gas is nowhere near $1. Does anyone know why there is such a big difference here?

Here on the California central coast gas is about $1.80 and diesel $2.49 a gallon. I have no idea why diesel is not coming down in price at the same ratio gas is.

Hi USA in a Chevrolet: In northeastern Colorado gas (regular) is about $1.50 and diesel is about $2.50. This dollar spread has been with us for about the last 3 years. We are warm weather campers so we are not able to take advantage of the this low diesel price. Jim2007

Here in Springfield MA, gas 1.53, diesel 2.59. Just filled up yesterday for trip to Fl on New Years day. Big difference from the beginning of the year when we took our cross country tip. We put on more than 16,000 miles OUCH!

In my area the differiental is $.80/G.
