I have a friend who has a Itasca Suncruiser. Slides and jacks stoped working. Seems to me it must be an electrical problem. Does anyone have any ideas as to where the problem is. This guy is a pretty good electrition. May not be connected but it seems strange that they both quit. Thanks for any help.

HWH levers and slide mechanism? If so, has he called them. Did they stop working so he can't bring the slides in and levers up or the other way around. Does he get a battery low warning? ETC.?

check the batteries. Our slides will not work if the batteries are low.

I once had a bad slide switch!!! Sometimes the slide would go and sometimes not I would keep playing with the switch untill it worked. Al went well until I burned out the hyd. pump!!! The mecanic said if I would have replaced the switch it would of saved me alot of money. Sorry my vote is check the pump if the other things have all been done. We were in San Jose Ca. when this happened only a mile and a half from Leiles repair had wife follow it was quite a sight driving down the busy road with all slides out!!!! Happy New Year rvtommy

Similar problem this summer with an Adventurer (also Winnebago). It was suggested I move the MH slightly to vibrate in the loose contact. It worked, but I realized that what I really did was start the engine, idle for a while, and then activated everything with a full battery charge. Playing around with the problem made me realize that my batteries were maintaining at 12.5 to 12.7 when plugged in. This apparently is not enough juice to activate the systems. Then again, maybe I am missing it altogether, and starting the MH jiggles something. At any rate, starting and idling before bringing in the sides and bringing up the jacks, after a prolonged stay, seems to work for me.

Check for 12 volts at the pump motor first. To do this, have someone try to operate either the jacks or slide(s) while you take the measurement. If you have power there is a good chance that the motor is shot. If no power, check the fuses. They are disguised as lumps on the wires near the motor. Another place to look is the control box. Unplug and replug it to confirm good connections. If you have not determined the problem, call HWH. They will ask if you have done the above first. This happened to me and it turned out to be the motor.
Good luck.

On the suncruiser, you have to have the key in the ignition and turned to on to run the jacks, also the parking brake must be on or they won't operate. Both systems are on the chasis/engine battery so the position of the battery cutoff should not matter. I believe there are 2 different pumps for these systems so I would suspect the engine battery being weak. Something is getting the 12 volts to the pumps.
