I have installed the digital converter box to both TV in our rig.
I installed the one in the living area at the router box. The router box controls the tv's, and disk player for both TV. (one in the living area and one in the bed room).
The living area TV works fine with the digital converter but the one in the bedroom only receives what is being aired on the living area TV.
Any ideas how to get both TV's to work seperatly?

you have to have each TV on it's own converter box, as the TV stays on either ch3 or ch4, and the box selects the station to watch.

Yes the converter box is actually a tuner and must be in plugged into the coax just before ea tv. it then is the tuner for that television the old tv's tuners are now useless and set to channel 3 or4 just like vcr's used to be.

Sounds like you put the converter in front of the switch box

Two suggestions. for the front, one for the rear

First. IF your converter has analog pass through re-connect the antenna lead to the switch box, pull the MAIN TELEVISION lead and hook it to the converter's output, use the patch cable supplied with the converter to connect the converter's INPUT to the switch box.

If your converter does not have analog pass through read on

For the rear TV. if the converter has analog pass through, hook it up exactly as described by the manufacturer, That is remove either the cable from the back of the tv and run it to the converter's input. or from the wall jack and hook it to the converter's output and use the supplied patch cable to hook the other end of the converter to the jack just disconnected from

in all cases the path is like this

Switch box------Converter-----Television

Don't matter which tv only the length of the first ---- changes

If your converter has NO analog pass through then get three things at your local ACE hardwere

Diplexer is the first item you need
The other two are a couple of short COAX cables. one as short as they have and the other about the same length as the cable included with the converter

Disconnect the ANT lead from the switch box and hook to the SINGLE port on the common side of the Diplexer. Short cable to Power pass through port back to the switch box

Long cable to non-power pass through to the Converter

Converter output to AUX IN on the switch box

Now... Pre-amp on (The power switch on the switch box on) you have full strength signal to the converter.. Now select AUX and you watch the converter in the front, Select ANT and you are hooked to the roof top antenna

For the rear TV select ANT and you use the converter in the rear
(Select AUX and you can turn the rear converter off,, NOTE it should have pass through or you will have a problem with VCR or DVD viewing or park cable)

Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

I just installed a converter for my rear bedroom TV. I had to make a small shelf right under the TV and ran the 2 Coax wires and the power cord from the converter through a hole I drilled in the bottom of the TV cabinet. I had to pull the Television out of the cabinet first. Now take the Coax off from the back of this television. Attach this Coax cable to the "coax outlet" on the back of the converter that is labeled "From Antenna" or words to that effect. Now run the other Coax cable from the back of the TV and attach it to the other coax outlet on the converter. Now select the channel switch on the back of the converter that you want the TV to be on, either CH3 or CH4 Plug the power cord of the converter into a 110 V AC outlet, i used the same outlet as the TV, and reinstall the TV making sure to also plug its power cord into the outlet. Now turn on the TV and set the channel to 3 or 4, which ever one you decided to chose. Before you turn on the Converter, make sure that you have selected the "TV" or "Antenna" on your selecter box which is up front. Now turn on the Converter box and you sholu get a "Menu" asking you to select which language, select what you want then select "Set up" or "Channel Scan" and let the converter scan for all digital channels in your reception area. This will take some time and when it gets done you can use the "Channel" UP or Down on the converter remote. All digital channels will have a decimal for instance, 3.1, 3.2, 10.1 10.2 10.3 and so forth depending on your reception area. SO make sure that the TV is on the proper channel, 3 or 4, and that you let the converter do a SCAN and you shold be OK. The reaso for not putting the Converter up front by the "Switch Box" is because if you are in the bedroom and want to change a channel, you will have leave the bedroom and operate the remote in the living room, something I would not want to do. Now that you have thst all done and eveything is working fine, you can program the Converter remote to also turn ON the TV and to also work the Volume. Look in the convertor manual for the CODE for your particular brand TV. Mine is a RCA converter and the TV is a Sylvania. There were 15 or more codes for sylvania, I had to push "PGR" and enter the 3 digite code and the first 8 codes did noe work but the ninth code did work. Now I only need the Converter remote to turn ON/OFF the TV and turn ON/OFF tne converter and it also will change the volume. Read the instructions first before you do the hookup, it is easy to do. Good luck
