I shed tears for your loss. The pain is gone for your beloved Doberman; your heart pain will remain for awhile longer. We will keep you in our thoughts.

It sounds like you gave your Doberman one heck of a good life. I went through the loss of a Collie last summer and know the pain it can cause. If the memories were not so sweet the pain would not be so bitter.

I'm about to take Snowflake to the vet. She's been limping on one of her legs that was operated on a few years ago. I just hope it's not torn aloose again and is just arthritis but she hasn't used it since last saturday. I'm really expecting the worse though and am really praying for the best.

I so totally get what you are feeling now, I doubt very much that we will ever forget our little camping buddy.
RIP, you are definately in a better place, pain free and free to romp in the sunshine.........

I was sorry to read of your loss. You can see by our signature how we feel about our beloved Nikki. We know that we will go through the same as you in the future. We only hope we can show the same compassion and love you did for yours when the time comes. Sometimes you just have to let go and end their suffering as you courageously did.
My hat's off to you!

We also want to extend our sorrow for your loss. We lost one a while back and it sure is hard. As you can see by my sig, our dog's we have now are both from the Old Fella Rescue (Richard Daniels) effort. There is a story to read if you have the time. To honor the rescue effort that started with an old black Lab in September 2005, there has been a rally each year since. I see you are from Columbus and the Rally this year will be at Evergreen in Mt, Eaton Ohio. Should be filled with pet lovers. Again please know that your Dobie is in a place now where there is no pain and is playing with all the others at the Rainbow Bridge while she waits for you.

You know, I have been on this forum for a while now, and I have never been far enough down to see the category RV Pet Stop...I was moved to read some of the posts on there, I really liked the "Rainbow Bridge" Poem...Thanks for pointing that out...and thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers!

Being a pet lover I can completely sympathize and have been there myself before and will be there again. You did the right thing but I know that doesn't make you feel any better. Take care and be proud of the good life that you gave her and remember the good years that she gave you.
