Do you mean they can slow down and speed up your internet speed ,they should not be allowed to do that,we should have the same speed as everyone else that pays the same rate,also I thought I had unlimited use because their sales person told me so.
Today I checked and what do you know I have 5k limited use,I guess as always I should have read the fine print and not trusted anyone.

Bob Last week I cancelled my T-Mobile Aircard account for unlimited usage, cost was 29.99/mo. It was slow however and I only used it a few times last year. Contract was up so away it goes!

Satellite internet such as Hughes does the same thing if you exceed their bandwith in a 24 hour period...they FAP you for 24 hours so basically you can't do squat...

Wild Blue does the same thing, but I believe it is based on monthly bandwidth usage.

We have had the AT&T air card for about 3yrs and use it at home on desktop as well as on the road with portable. Service has improved over the years and speed is pretty good and even allows for pretty large downloads. The $60/mo. has always been for unlimited use and they have never mentioned any cap.
Wifi at campgrounds in intermitent and many times is very costly so we
just use tha air card everywhere.

this is a heads up for the Canadians out there. Telus was giving an Air Card for $100.00 per month with unlimited air time and no roamer for North America. I've been using it now for 7 months and it is great

That was the marketing rub that Verizon used. We all have unlimited access, but limited bandwidth allowance. I can be connected and access the internet as much as I want, but ass soon as I use over their bandwidth limitation, I get spanked.
I think what they did was deceptive, but I still use them because I don't have much of a choice. They know that

Indeed, it was/is deceptive. The whole "unlimited" thing that you hear many on the forum claim they have is in fact something they falsely believe because they were mislead by their carrier's advertising and or representatives.
For those that are concerned about the unlimited issue, call your carrier. IF they tell you that you have unlimited data usage and that no penalty will be applied ($ wise or by throttling back your service) if you go over 5GB, tell them you want written confirmation of this in an email to you. IF you do manage to get this detailed confirmation you can go over 5GB and not worry.

I just bought a new lap top with Skype on it.. I used the Verizon air card.. I cannot figure out how to set if up so I can use the camera..I even took it in to a repair place yesterday to set it up and they didn't know how...Can I use my same email address or do I have to do something different. How did you configure it to work...
