Craig, my condolences. I suppose the upside is your Walla Walla store (isn't it a winery?) will now see growth as a result of your more intimate attention? Heck, I might even buy a bottle from you, and send my mom over from Wenatchee for a bottle or two as well.

Sad news indeed. My best wishes to Craig during this difficult time.

The lose of these types of businesses is just a further eroding of the communities that we once knew. Businesses that helped to make up the fabric of the community, common areas that tied the residents of the community together. These days it's all franchises with different people working there every month, or giant faceless corporations with little skin the game as far as the community goes.
