So where the heck is a good place for the brake controller? My new 2008 Mega cab has front bucket seats and the full center console. Any thoughts from owners would be apreciated thanks.

Why doesn't Dodge think of that when they lay out a dash??
My dash is a bit different and I was able to get it into a cubby in the dash with some difficulty. In your case it seems the only place to put it is where Dodge says not to; under the knee bolster.
Any chance it will fit in one of the little dash pockets on either side of the climate controls?

i placed mine on top of the dash to the left of the steering wheel. held on with two way tape. it's a max brake. set and forget. but i wanted it handy so i could use it manually if needed. i have the dash pad placed on top of it. which protects it from sunlight. all the wires are hidden along the door weather strip.

Mine is by my right leg on the bottom of the dash, mounted level, with just the controls sticking out. It doesn't get in my way at all.

Me too. I don't have a center console though. The folks that have one seem to mount them in one of the cubbys in the center console though.

The other trucks I looked at had the built in brake controlers which I liked. Dodge really should have done this as well. I would love to mount the controler some where in the center console but I really don't see any good places.

In my Dodge, I mounted it off my right knee, under the knee bolster. Not in the way at all and right hand reaches it just fine if my arm is laying on my knee. Mine is a Prodigy, so a little angle doesn't bother it.
