We bought our 5th wheel out of state. It was 450 miles from home. It was what the seller said it would be. It had a Fl title, so we transfered it to a Ga title. We are both retired so we go by the price of the item and not the distance. We have more time than we do money.

Bought our fifth wheel 350 miles from home (still in state!)

Drove down once to check them out and fell in love. Did all the paperwork and put a down payment on it.
a month later (when it had warmed up) we drove back down with our travel trailer trade-in and picked up the fiver. Stayed a couple days at a local RV park and then took Cougar home.

All went fine once we were down there. Had a flat tire about a block away from the dealer and had to change the tire in their parking lot, but one of the servicemen helped out. Then had to leave the truck there to have the hitch installed. Stayed in a hotel the first night and then we were able to pick up the Cougar the next day. Had to buy a new tire, but it went pretty smoothly considering.

Bought ours 300 miles away.

Bought in MI, live in IL

Yes, other than I had to make two trips. One to look at the 5er up close and pick up the hitch. Second to go back and pick up the 5er. Well worth it!!!

Local dealer for us. It was a good experience. Glad we were local when I had to take it back to get it raised. - Dave
