Looking for nice quite campgrounds for a fith wheel with full hookups. Something that would be 3-4 hour drive from the Chicagoland area. We LOVE Wisconsin and Michigan!

Thanks

Other than full hookups, I don't know what kind of place you are looking for, but we went here http://www.sunnybrookrvresort.com/ last year and had a great time. It's nice to see a really nice RV place that's not far from Chicago. This is more of an upscale RV resort, but it has a small lake with paddle and kayak rental and fishing. It has a great clubhouse and beautiful new pool. Very clean. It is very close (2 miles) from Lake Michigan, beaches, and South Haven shops. It is even closer to a Walmart and restaurants.

Here's a link to some private campsites in Wisconsin.

Our state parks don't offer sewer/septic hookups but Kohler Andrae State Park and Point Beach State Park are along the lake and both are great.

If you know the Chicago traffic, and you like the Wisconsin and Michigan areas, you have a delema, as you have to transverse the lower part of lake Michigan's roads and interstate roadways. CROWED.. So I would stay either West or East of the lake. We like the state parks in both states, and only require the electrical hook ups. Water, we carry, Sewer, we dump when we exit the park. Rock cut state park just north of Rockford Il is such a park, and we stay there every year, plus you are only about a 2 hrs drive or less to the Dells.
