Bad design, makes you wonder how well they think these things out!

Rerouting the exhaust is simple and takes about 20 minutes. A little longer if have access to a 1 1/4 in pipe bender and want to get a little fancier.

Get under the coach and loosen the two nuts on the clamp where the exhaust pipe mounts to the genny.

Remove the hanger supports.

Spin the exhaust pipe around to the other side so that it comes out between the BR and LR slides.

Relocate the original hanger brackets and attach the pipe. Tighen clamp bolts

Cut off excess pipe.

Done.

For added safety, make yourself a genturi for around 25-30 bucks.

Genny fumes and noise is now on the other side.

I did this to my 08 Raptor.

One more thing. I started first with the home made genturi on the awning side but still found the exhaust drone annoying. So I spun it to the other side.

You can find some easiy instruction to build your own genturi like the one in Y-Guy's pic. They are easy, cheap and work great. For easier storage, I started with a piece of pipe with the molded in coupler (like in Y-Guy's pic). I cut the pipe in half to make to 5' sections for easier storage. I mounted the flat bar and 90 elbow to a non coupler end. I use the molded in coupler to put the pipe back together when in use to extend above the roof.
