$200 seems to be the standard "good price" that people have been buying. I just picked up the 3500 at a show for $220. I also read on here that someone picked up a refurbished on ebay for under $100. I would be very curious how that worked out for them.
I have yet to install mine, but I do believe the tube you are referring to is the dimension of the hole opening the jack fits into, not the actual jack support tube. on most heavier trailers it appears that the 2 1/4-inch is the norm. The lighter trailers may have a 2-inch opening and the 3500 will not fit because it is 2 1/4 inch. I guess you could always bore it out to the 2 1/4 if you had to.
