"Nobody knows how we got to the top of the hill, but since we're on our way down, we might as well enjoy the ride". ("The Secret Of Life", James Taylor).
I live in Savannah and it all depends on how close to town you want to be.
Skidaway Island State Park= Very nice, very large campsites, close to downtown and Southside, has cable TV hookup and restaurants nearby.
Rivers End Campground=On Tybee Island very close to the beach. Don't know much more about it. Go to: riversendcampground.com
Savannah Oaks Campground= About 20 minutes from downtown or Southside. Pretty nice and real close (5 minutes) to restaurants @I-95. Right off of I-95. 4 miles. www.bellairewoods.com
Ft. McAllister State Park=Real nice and pretty big campsites. Has a nice pier for saltwater fishing, about 35-45 minutes from downtown Savannah.
It all depends on what you want to do and see as to where the best location for you is. If you need more info let me know.
