According to OL's web site, access to the internet is available at each campsite. Was wondering the specifics. What is the cost, is it wifi or wired, is it limited to a single computer or can it be shared, and is it available in all sections? We are heading down in April and both the wife and I need access - not necessarily at the same time - using different computers. We both have company computers so sharing a computer is not an option. I also e-mailed OL and am waiting their response, but am looking for a report from an end user. Thanks in advance, Mike

Each site has a phone line if you want to use dial up. There is a free WIFI area by the shopping area (Sandy's meet and eat). You can get WIFI at your site but I believe it is $9.95 per day. It is a shame you have to bring your work with you. Hope you have time to play.

when we were ther it was 9.95 a day or 29.95 for a month, we were there for 3 weeks so we got the month, they will assign you a password to use, and it will expire at the end of the time your purchased, worked good for us....

I was at Lakewood last summer and came across the same issue. I have Time Warner's Roadrunner. Before I let I downloaded their dial-up software and just connected to the site's phone connection. I just needed to check email, pay a few bills and transfer funds. So just use the old dial-up and you'll be OK.

I find the on-site WiFi is very hit and miss(more miss than hit)If you are close to a transmitter it is okay at best. If you are any distance from a transmitter it isn't worth the expense. During our stay in October (Site I-08) the WiFi was practically non-existent and was a waste of $30. We eventually ended up using the free WiFi at "Sandy's". This year, I won't throw the $30 away. The on-site WiFi is the only thing is disappointing at Ocean Lakes.
