We passed that restaurant the first year many times and thought it didn't look like much. After hearing from friends in the park that they really liked the spot we took their advice and have been several times. We really like the food and the service is good. Much nicer on the inside than outside. Sorry can't remember if they have seafood. Maybe just give them a call before you go.

Well sorry about you trip to Lone Star and Willie. Both are not very good in my opinion but many people like them so to each his own, though I will say, Lone Star does give you a heck of a portion for the price you pay

Back on topic.

Rudy's in one of my favorites of anywhere in the state. There are several throughout the state. It is a Texas institution. Rudy's has absolutely the best sauce I have ever had and I'm not a sauce guy. If the meat is truly good, sauce is not necessary. That said Rudy's has great meat and "the best" sauce. They have two different sauces. One is there "Sissy Sauce" which I've actually never tried. Then they have their "regular" sauce. Boy you talk about good and does it ever have a KICK to it. If Kansas City style sweet sauce is you type, Rudy's is not your place. Rudy's is the epitome of Texas BBQ. I will admit the Valley location is not as good as others but still great nonetheless. They have excellent sweet tea as well. Everything is first class.

Very easy to get to Pawatt. Rudy's is at HWY 281 & Nolana in Pharr and I'm 99.99% sure it's open 7 days a week.

Rudy's

Brisket is a must(they have a lean and fatty brisket, me likes the fatty) along with their turkey, jalapeno sausage, potato salad, and sweet tea.

Please do let me know what you think

Fat Daddy's is one of the worst BBQ places I've been to. They also tried to cheat us out of $4.00 but we caught them. Never go back.
