Sheepcamp, rv.net member, sheep rancher, and wildfire fighter invited us to visit.
Note: If you are scrolling from start to finish you'd see our Hawaii adventure here... I couldn't wait to post. It is really near the end of the thread and near the end of this page where it should be.
We traveled through Monument Valley and on to Page, AZ. after we left Sheepcamp and Cortiz, ColoradoTravel with us here.
We visited the Glen Canyon Dam and traveled to the North Rim of then Grand Canyon
Back on the mainland and heading home... from San Francisco to Tennessee... through CA, NV, UT, WY, NE, IA, KS, MO, IL, and KY. We posted pictures all along the way... some favorite spots are listed below.
Safe travel. Hope to read your next post with pictures. When you are in California try to visit Carmel and Monterey. Also 17 mile drive or Pebble Beach and Pacific Groove which is next town. You'll see the famous John Denver crash site many years ago.
I'll clear out your parking spot and have it ready for ya. I've leveled it out a little more and thrown down gravel on it for you since you were here last. ;-)
I find out on the 13th if I still have a job. If I don't, I may likely be joining you on the road!

Yes, we are heading due-south first... 'till we get to the Gulf of Mexico. It has been very cold at home in Tennessee and we wanted to find warm first.
We normally never have an agenda, just a time frame. Our goal is to be comfortable and miss the extreme elements.
We like the cajun foods and mudbugs which will take us through costal Lousania. We especially like Lake Charles.
We haven't been in Austin , TX yet... we'd like to do the capital, museums, art galleries and maybe get to see (hear) Austin City Limits.
If it's warm enough we'd like to go through Alberquere, NM and on to the petrified forest, painted desert, etc. If it's too cold we'll hang-out in the Phoenix area until it warms up at the higher elevations.
At some point Bryce, Zion, Canyon Lands, etc... maybe even returning east.
A must... the only one... is Nellis AFB, NV. We have a ne great grand daughter. She was born there about 7 weeks ago.
We really like California... we'd like to get to the coast through Palmdale and up to San Fransico... bug Jim and Wayne and head east... ever so slowly... weaving through the Rockies before making a mad dash accross our personal bad lands (the plains states).
Home about August. We should have about 960 nights in the camper by then.
My favorite camping beach just north of San Francisco at Bodgea Day is Wrights beach. Basically the camping is right at the bottom of the bluff where it meets the sand. You might need reservations. It is part of the Sonoma Coast state beaches. I know you don't care for campgrounds but you might find this one a little different.
