In 2007 we visited San Fransisco... and stayed in a very safe gated community, with security guards, and a lovely view of the Bay. Reddog1 was our host.

I'm going to share a few pictures from that trip... we parked our campers in two different areas of the community.

We took these from our day cruise ship... the Larkspur Ferry.

Our other boondocking spot.... on the far right.

And a look back as we head for the Ferry Terminal near the Oakland Bay bridge and our walk into China Town. Can you see San Quentin Prison?

We moved between the two sites because there was some parking lot maintainence scheduled.

Our truck campers are have a lot more room for the two us than the guys that stay 40 or 50 years in these quarters with the same guy.

And we have a better view. That is our tour ferry making a trip without us...heading to SF.

We went to the top of the hill directly above the main prison parking lot to look down on our stealth camping!

This is the view from our back door... remember... Reddog1 had to look at this every morning as he walked to work... I;m in his parking spot at he is just to my left in the pictures above.

... and this was our view out the front.

Moving day... back to the first parking spot.

To boondock here we also toured the inside of the prison, to every where that we could imagine... guess who carried the keys and was the tour guide... our very own Reddog1. It's a scarry place... the baddest of the bad.

We went every where in the area... the Suki made it easy... Wayne made it possible. He had everything organized in his head far in advance and made it run so smooth it was like being on the best tour we've ever experenced, anywhere, anytime.

Thank you again Wayne.

It was good to remember trips past but now it's time to move on... to Burlingame... prepare for the San fransisco Airport and Hawaii.

Every city has an identifing structure... a space needle, a camelback Mtn...

.... this building is maybe San Franscisos. Even a glimpse will do it!
