Hi All,

I think that I owe everyone an update to my “No Country Coach What Do I Do Now?” posting a while back. I posted that I put up a $30,000 deposit on a new Country Coach Inspire which was being built when Country Coach ceased operations. After the bad news I originally still wanted a Country Coach but after following the continuous doom and gloom discussions on the Yahoo Country Coach forum I was convinced not to.

Someone on this forum (I think Lucy) suggested that I look at Tiffin as I wanted an approx. 36’ and if it didn’t offer Aquahot I wasn’t interested. Anyway: I ordered a 36’ Allegro Bus with every option offered other than the outside TV and the black hutch which was suppose to be delivered to my local dealer on Friday but didn’t show up yet. We have our first trip planned for March 14 – 19th so I hope it gets here.

As for my deposit: It was with the dealer not with Country Country Coach. After letter’s written with the assistance of an attorney etc. I got my deposit back over time in two separate payments. I eventually got my satellite phone back which was stuck at Country Coach after a lot of grief and many thanks to Carolyn (former Country Coach Rep) no thanks whatsoever to the dealer whom I asked to assist.

I never did mention which dealer and I am not going to bother but some of you were guessing and thought that the one that you thought it was great? I don’t think they were great. Famous quotes by the salesman at this particular dealership that had never met me and knew nothing about me:

1) When I mentioned that I would fly up and see the Country Coach’s that they had he said: Why don’t you just go to the factory in Oregon it is about the same distance as coming here? Then he said: what is the matter aren’t you allowed in the states?

2) When I said that am taking the time to fly all the way up there so I would like to see everything working on the coach that they had that was the same model that am was interested in he said: I will tell you how it is going to go!
Even if it was booming times for RV sales I would say that this guy chose the wrong occupation. When I flew up there I told the owner that I would only deal with them if I could deal with another salesman.

A BIG thank you to everyone on RV.Net as I’ve learned lots and often wonder how long it would take to get educated the way I have before the net. Anyway: I am sleepless waiting for her to arrive and can hardly wait. I will post pictures when I get her home.

PS: More pictures of coaches, especially ones parked at campsites with beautiful scenery would be appreciated.

Thanks again,

Adam

Seems like the RV dealerships have an attitude.....you'd think with this economy, they'd have been kissing your toes for your business!!!!!

Glad you were able to get your deposit back and good luck on your new coach. Friends of mine have one of those and they think it is great.

Good luck with your new coach. I am typing this in our 2007 Allergo Bus 40 QSP on a Spartan and we love it. We only come this way once so enjoy the ride. Rob
