I'd look at the KZ Spree line. They make ultra-light weight travel trailers. I looked at several different lines and the Spree's of the same size were all lighter. They have a very good rep in the industry and come with a 2 year warrenty.

Take a look at Crossroads Sunset Trail. Lightweight and quality built. Rockwood would be my second choice.

I have a Sunset Trail 26RB and love it because it has the full size queen bed, a nice stall shower and space you can use eve with the slide in.

Give the Keystone Cougar X-Lites a chance. I have one and love it.

I agree with planter8, crazyman2,and Spade Cooley on the Sunset Trail. We searched every dealer within 50 miles of Knoxville and liked the quality and the price of the ST. Check out CrossRoads RV Forum for opinions of other owners.

Happy camping

And by the way it's great to hear from other ST owners.

So my Husband and I went by the local dealer today (we are currently in OR and are relocating to Louisiana in a couple of wks). He showed us the Mallard and a couple of others...now after quite a bit of research we decided that we liked the floor plan of the Keystone Passport 285RL. However, the dealership did not have it. The salesman showed us the Fleetwood Wilderness Extreme Edition. We thought "Wow, this is exactly what we want!". And it is a new 2008 model and he offered it at $17,500. We thought this is a pretty good deal for a new TT. But I just read they are filing bankruptcy. So, would you recommend staying away from Fleetwood? Especially since where we buy will not be where we live?

Well, you will hear from another right now. I have spoken to Crossroads recently. They are GREAT on service! We could not find a dealer close to us in SW WA state who dealt in the Sunset Trails so we drove 2 1/2 hours north to purchase our unit. We have had it for a year and are VERY happy with it. Sunset Trails has a 5th Wheel as well, if you are interested in that. And I agree, it is great to hear from other ST owners. I am on the Crossroads RV forum, too!

Determine the kinds of places where you want to go and get something that will fit there.

Many of the places we go I am limited to about 22 feet. If the places you want to go are too small, then just understand that you will not be able to go there.
