We'll be going to Swannee River SP in FL in a couple of weeks for spring break. We have a class c and we are not taking a toad. My grandson wants to fish, so my question is to anyone that's been there. I need to know some where close that we can buy bait before we set up camp. I've never been there before so any suggestions would be great.

You are smart to ask, as I did not see many businesses near the park itself.

Off the top of my head, I would suggest researching Live Oak for a bait shop.

Also, perhaps the park ranger would know a good local place -- maybe call the Ranger Station before you depart?

p.s. A word of advice about the river. My friends got eaten alive by the sand fleas last May at the river's edge. You may want to put on Deet before you head to the river. Beautiful area -- just some bugs now and then.

The campground is just completing their first year since renovations. New Shower/Restrooms and full hookups at every site. Some very large units might have trouble navigating the campground loop but your C will do just fine. There are no stores close by.
