Bottom line is if you tow your car for two or maybe three long days without pulling fuses or charging/recharging the battery in some manner you WILL find the toad battery has been discharged to the point it will not start the car.
In addition,since cars such as Hondas and Vues do not come with deep-cycle batteries the life of the battery is greatly reduced by repeated charge/discharge cyles.

I believe you to be correct because last summer we took a great trip from SoCal to Seattle area and back. By the time we spent our last night out, the Saturn would not start the very next morning even though we drove it almost every day and required the battery to be replaced with less than (2) years usage.
The toad battery charger seems to be the way to go.
