We purchased our used 2007 Endeavor coach from DeMartini and thought we got a great deal. I left their website on my favorites just so I could keep up with the market.

This 2008 Alpine 40' Limited Triple Slide-Out DP bank repossession showed up on their website. They are asking $189K original window sticker is $368K. Boy somebody sure is taking in in the shorts on this one. http://www.rvdeals.net/R1013/

They also have a used 2008 quad slide Alpine with less miles on it for the same price.

These both seem like screaming deals to me. When they sell units like these at this price, it drives the prices down on everybody's units.

Just like the housing market! Maybe that is all that they are worth. In reality.

368K for a 40' 3-slide coach seems way over priced to begin with to me.

Heres Lucy - Alpine is high end unit. Ok, take MSRP minus 30% which is about what most people were paying last year and that equals $257K. This unit is almost 50% off MSRP. Opinions please...

Yep, could be a good deal, would certainly consider if we were in the market(although like most everything else motorhomes have been overpriced the past few years). As the prices go down so does the inventory and prices will rise again(already happening with laptops)-especially with all of the manufacturers that are going under. Saw it happen in the boating industry in the 90s. Try to buy a new mid-market motorhome next year and you'll be paying possible a lot more.

dav5942 - Intelligent response. Basicly, you are talking current deflation creating a future shortage of inventory. Wish it would turn around next year. Got my doubts.

tm- Don't believe "it" will turn around next year or anytime soon either, however would not be suprised to see niche markets recover strong and a got a feeling the mid-market coaches will be there. There's a lot of babyboomers who haven't lost everything and they still want to go traveling as they retire.

It may be a good deal if you do not care if the manufacturer (Western RV) is no longer in business. It may be a good deal if you do not need a great deal of load carrying capacity. I have seen a lot of 40 multi-slide Alpines with little CCC.

Dealers are "dumping" their inventory of any units that are from now "defunct" manufacturers.....last month you could get really great deals on NUWA "Hitchhiker" 5th wheels when the plant closed....I'm sure you can now get really good deals on Fleetwood Travel Trailers too. Western RV went under...now the dealers are trying to dump them too. (they become much harder to sell when there is no "factory" to back up and pay for warranty work)
