I followed a fire road road up from Mammoth Pools on the Western side of the Sierras. I was able to make it up to 9,020 feet until hitting ice on steep roads and finally stopped. It was incredibly quiet, crystal clear air and exciting to know few could share this spot without special equipment.

I am curious to see some of the remote areas others have traveled with their TC.

Though I don't carry a TC around, I have seen them 28 miles from the nearest pavement.

Anything closer to pavement is not serious boon docking.

I've had a couple pretty secluded spots up in the Washington North Cascades.
It does make me smile a bit from jealousy when I see your picture of that nice big HOST, two satellite dish's, solar panels, generator and batteries. As secluded as you may be, the world is still at your fingertips. Nature when you want it, the rest of the world when you want to go back and check in on it.
Dick Tracy would be jealous too.

This is near Sade Saddle probably about mid way between Dixie Idaho and Darby Montana. 110 miles of Jeep trail so I was a good 50 miles from pavement. Never seen another soul for 3 days!!! Kinda spooky in a way.

Yes, the little white speck was my camp for the night.

The Henry Mountains of southeast Utah - already in the middle of some pretty empty country. The road in from Hanksville up towards Lonesome Beaver (BLM) is 5 mph max...... and it's 15 miles into the range. Lonesome Beaver was a mystery to me - a campground with concrete tables and outhouses in the middle of nowhere - nice, but who was it built for? 4 days and I never saw or heard evidence of another human being.

No offense Mooney, but that road would've shaken the satellite dishes and solar panels right off your rig

No offense taken, you might be a little surprised to see the lack of roads those satellites haven't seen.

Probably Horse Camp or Tolkan in the King Range in northern Kahleefornia. Now that we're retired we're hoping to get deeper into the wild now and then. Sorry I don't have pics... Happy camping.
