Etrailer has quite a few WD hitches in your wieght needs for about $250. The Equalizer is a great hitch, but if money is an issue, a WD hitch and friction bars will do the trick.

You may want to try Craigslist for used ones or the site "Hitchtrader.

I found a guy in my area on craigslist that says he has one for sale. He is not sure of the brand but it came off of his 26' travel trailer that was at 4880lbs.
Seems like it should work for mine but is there anything I should steer clear of since it's used?
I'm doubtful he has instructions for installation so I'm wondering how difficult it is to install?
I think I know that you need to do on a level surface, and then take height readings of the tow vehicle without the load and then somehow that determines how to set up the hitch but from there I'm fuzzy and perhaps each brand of hitch is different.
I have not see it yet but he is asking $125 ...

It is not hard to set up yourself - it just takes a bit of time. See this sticky thread at the top of this forum for advice. If you run into problems, post again and many members will help you out.
When you get done, you will not only have the satisfaction of knowing it is done correctly, you will have learned a whole lot about your hitch in the process!

I found out the WD for sale locally (private party) is complete but the brackets that go on the camper were sold with the camper.
Where could I find replacement brackets? All I know is the WD is a Quality S, don't know anything more.
Another question, I see these WD with round bar and square bar... does it make a difference? One better than the other?

http://www.etrailer.com/ sells replacement brackets that should work for any generic chain style WD or any local hitch shop will carry them. Round bar hitches hang lower then square (trunnion) style bars and are generally lighter duty. Either will work fine for most trailers.

I was checking out their site today....
I'm almost thinking it may be best just to buy a new one from them. Will cost me an extra $80.00 for the brackets and I've found two for sale locally that don't have the TT brackets and one guy wants $125.00 and the other $200.00
I do have one other question about this set up.... I have a drive way that is a little steep and I'm wondering if I'll have the same amount of (Pitch Up and Down) play as I do with the WD hitch?

well, I'm back with trying to get the WD for my camper.
The private party ones all turned out to be old and thought I may be best off if I buy new.
I am looking at the EAZ-Lift Bent Bar WD for sale at camping world but not sure if I should go with the 750lb or 1000lb.
I'm thinking 750lb should be enough but not sure.... Thoughts??

Also, what about sway control?
I see some with left or right but how do you know which to choose?
