Had the same problem as Danny, does one need to remove the leaf to the existing suspension for the air bags? never had a problem with it on my class b but after I transferred to class c this has been a problem to me...

Hi 'archer,

Specifically WHAT has been a problem for you on your Class C ?

The answer to your question is NO. I did not remove leaves or anything else.

I add enough air (60 psi per side) to raise the rear of the RV 1 1/2 to 2 inches at the wheel well. THAT puts load on the air bags.

The resulting ride in the back of my 22 ft. Class C is quite comfortable now.

Ditto Healyman. No supplemental air bags that I've ever heard of (I've DIY installed them on three vehicles) require removal of any leaf spring parts. The improved ride quality seems to be simply from 'disengaging' the bottom-most leaf, which on my Chevy is a short, really thick one that is almost inflexible. When you inflate the bags just enough to see a bit of space between the top of that leaf's ends and the bottom of the leaf above, the ride improves. The 'slam-bang' becomes 'bouncy-bounce', so to speak.
