Just bought a Keystone Cougar 307BHS TT to pull with my new Colorado. What air bags do you recommend for the rear springs?

Just kidding! April 1st is just around the corner... Wanted to be the first

First of all, you need 4 sturdy jack stands, a 3 1/2 ton jack, and some substantial 4x4 6 foot long wood timbers. Jack the Colorado at least 6' off the ground, placing enough jack stands and timber under it so that it is well supported. Then arrainge for it to "accidently" fall off the jacks and crash to the ground. Call the insurance company, and when you get the check for your totalled Colorado...buy a F350 dually long bed diesel to tow tour 5er with!

And it ain't THAT close to April Fools Day! Be patient...

Les sez:

Tow rating for Colorado with 3.7 liter 5 cyl. is 5500 lbs, with 5.3 liter 300 hp V8 it's 6000 lbs.

I think the Cougar is around 11,000 lbs...might be better off with one of those used Class 8 trucks rather than the one tonner you're suggesting. Don't want the tail wagging the dog.

I think you can probably tow a 38' TH once you add the air bags and Super Springs.

I would add a Cat-back exhaust and a K&N air filter to help improve you fuel usage.

A stock Colorado is plenty to pull that trailer. Just remove the air conditioner, propane tanks, stove, fridge, cabinets, shower, toilet, beds, roof, and walls from the trailer. Should be a breeze to tow. ;-)

Just purchased a smart car 2 seater with the tow package what is the best way to instal the hitch for my 33ft bunkhouse with 8slide outs. I also purchased a 24ft utility trailer for my quads and dirt bikes above that is a platform to hold our new helicopter, dont know how to fly it yet but after a few wobbily pops wife says I can do anything. If you think this is a joke your damn right it is !!! Just practising for April fools day happy trails to all.
