to boost the debate a simple question : As your opinion, on road with a lot of snow , which is better SRW or DRW (with a 4x4 or not )!

January 2007 - Icy road started before OKC and ended somewhere in New Mexico. Not my first rodeo!

Dodge RAM 2500 4x4 SRW w/Lance 1030 and 5 adults in the QC.

January 2009, Mammoth Mountain, temperature 8 degrees, winds 35+, blowing snow and icy roads.

Truck . . . DRW!

Oooooo, Mooney! That truck of yours is so big and bad! You look like a truck campin' Jeremiah Johnson!

Can I have your baby?

Hahahahahahahaha!

This thread is a hoot!

I am impressed Mooney, those are horrible conditions. I know a SRW could not drive in that! LOL

BTW, looking at some of the OP’s other posts, you can conclude he may have a Northstar…but he never really comes out to say it? Kinda’ strange…
Anyway, I don’t think NS makes anything that REQUIRES a 1 ton…but to each his own.

Bill

looked at his other posts and he said in one,"Now I understand where he is comming from..I would not have a pop up to save my life...The camper I bought is from the number one pop up builder and he even said not to buy one...buy the hard side" My guess based on what he said his camper is, is a Hallmark, either that or it was Mrs Plum with the lead pipe in the Billiard room.

Actually, I was wrong on that. He did not call our current Commander and Chief a !$%#!#@$%@!

His post was not that bad, but it was borderline political which usually draws a response from the other side; which it did in this case.

Actually, it was someone else in another post who called our current Commander and Chief a !$%#!#@$%@! That post was removed also.

Sorry for my confusion as to who called our current Commander and Chief a !$%#!#@$%@!

We're just back from 10 days in Yosemite and Death
Valley. Report and pics coming.
I'm dead tired and just wasted much of the evening reading this thread.
I kept thinking it would just slip under the waves by the stern (the unsprung weight of those duallies).
What was I thinking?
regards, as always, jefe
