I check the frame front/back and side to side, then check the beds. I can't sleep if the bed is not very close to level. The body will flex slightly, so make sure the parts you want super-close to level are actually level.

If the stove is level, DW is happy, I'm happy!

Out of all the replys, I can only see one person that read the initial question and gave a reasonable answer. He didn't ask how to level the trailer, he asked how to install a new level to show its correct present angle even while the trailer is not level on the ground.

You have to get the RV level first, and then attach the leveling device showing it centered. If you can't get your camper level, what's the point? You will need a carpenter's level, or something similar to initially get the camper level, then attach the new bubble level for the camper, centered.

Absolutely agree with your comment here. You've got to find "level" for your RV first, then simply attach the level bubble. As with my trailer, once you find the "sweet spot" you want level (refrigerator, stove top, doors, bed or whatever is most important you it), it doesn't matter what else is out-of-level. Attach the level and that one "spot" will always be your level spot. It's the only way.

Thank you all for the answers. The answers were all very helpful and very informative.......especially to a beginner like me.

I will first level my TT and then install the level.........level of course.

Thanks again and I will be asking more TECH. questions soon because I plan to go camping for the first time in about 4 weeks.

Lots to learn in a short amount of time.
