Tony Cornett used a marine tank for his Honda generator. Will the same wok for a Yamaha Generator? O, has anyone done this for a Yamaha generator?

my marine tanks (I assume you mean like for an outboard motor) all work with a fuel pump pulling gasoline up and out of the tanks. I thought that most portable gas engines are fueled by gravity?

does that really work, gas gets sucked into the tank? is there a fuel pump on a gen.set. motor? or is it gravity fed?

Never tried it but think it would work off vacuum once the fuel starts moving it would continue as long as engine was running. That’s my thinking.

I have a Honda EU2000i and a 6 gallon marine tank rigged up to it. There's a primer bulb in between the two of them. I am thinking a fuel pump would be necessary even in this set up.

The EU2000i has no problem of sucking fuel out from an aux tank. I"m not sure if that genny has a built in fuel pump or not. Either way, it must have either vacuum (suction) or a fuel pump. It does work nicely even if the fuel tank sits below the generator.

After some reading looks like it will only work with a Honda generator because they do have a fuel pump. The only Yamaha with a fuel pump is the 1000 from what I am reading.
