I received my Sidewinder yesterday. Now I am excited. I lay everything out on my workbench and start reading the instructions. The first thing it says is to make sure the bolt holes are the same. I go out and check, nope they are different. Great now what. Apparently my Lippert 1116 pinbox is different than others somehow. So after dealing with the manufacturer we THINK I need an ST200 not an ST100 which is what all of the information says I need. Now I am waiting from a call from the folks I bought it from to see how to get it swapped with the correct one. Kinda frustration right now.

Same thing happened to me! I eventually found out that, contrary to what I was told by the WW factory, my TH did not have a Lippert frame. I ended up e-mailing a picture of my pinbox mount to Sonny at Cequent to confirm the proper part number.

I bought mine over the internet from a company with a strict "no refunds, no exchanges" policy, but they swapped it out for me nevertheless.

Good luck.

msredneck84,

I have a full and comprehensive understanding of how the sidewinder works. I have no issues with mechanical things in general. Perhaps thats why I continue to debate.

I truly hope that in the future I dont disappoint you or anyone else with my posts. And that is not meant to be sarcastic.

Oh man, sorry to hear that. What is different? Bolt pattern, width?

Before I ordered mine, I had to call to make sure, luckily I met Sonny at a local event, what I thought I needed would have been wrong.

Keep us posted and PM me again if you have any questions.

Yep it was the bolt pattern that didn't match. All of their information showed I needed the ST100. It won't fit. Now I am confused about which wedge to use. I bought the one they told me I needed but there is one bolted to the underside of the arm already.

The wedge that comes attached is the universal, can be flipped to meet several hitch heads.

What did tech support say?

The ST200 should hopefully be shipping soon.
Hey, do you have a picture of yours all hooked up and ready to roll?

The Sidewinder is now being offer on trailers straight from the factory. I cannot remember who all has them, but Dutchmen was one of them.
