Anyone have one?
I saw the advertisement of the Good Sam Visa card. It offers lots of FREE stuff (rewards) for using it. I do not really need another credit card but if this one rewards me for using it I would use it. Is it worth it or are there lots of restrictions on the REWARDS?
I don't know about that one but my Bass Pro Shops one is great. Forces me to buy more fishing tackle for "free" every once in a while.
I would think that any card that gave back a % rebate every year would be of more value myself.

I've had mine for about a year now. I'll be using the points to pay for my Good Sam ERS and Camp Club USA memberships. They also offer gift cards for lots of the major retailers that are still around including CW, Bass Pro Shops, etc, etc.

I opened my old mail and I also was lucky enough to be offered this deal. I assume that someplace in the fine print it sez what the annual interest rate is but a quick glance didn't reveal it. Also I am curious about all the disclaimers, sports authority, chili's, home depot, etc. are those gift cards the type that after a certain period of time, start decreasing monthly unless used?

Same here. We need another Credit Card, like we need a hole in our heads. We have so many cards, but we hardly ever use them. Only once in a great moon, just to keep a good credit score. Good Sam's interest rates are quite high. It would be ok, if you paid your bill in full each month. But if you want to make some payments, it sure isn't worth the high interest rates. Good Luck. I'd stay away from all the specialized cards, just go for the Chase Freedom Visa which gives you cash back on three most used catagories every month. They can keep their airline miles, cruise upgrades, etc and just give me the money. Don't care about the interest rate when its paid off every month.
I have a bank Visa card with no annual fee that pays;
4% rebates on gasoline purchases up to $250 in monthly gasoline spending
3% rebates on cinema and video rental purchases (up to $150 in monthly spending)
2% rebates on groceries, restaurant and fast food purchases (up to $750 in monthly spending)
On everything else it pays 0.5% rebates when your annual spending is below $10,000. Once your annual spending is above $10,000, you earn unlimited 1% rebates.
The bank sends me a check every time the reward accumulates to $100. I get a check three or four times a year. I'm not saying it is better than the card you are looking at, just something to compare with.
p.s. I have no idea what the interest rate is, I pay in full every month.

that sounds like a negative gimmick to me. I prefer a card that gives varying refunds based on categories, not limited to three specialized categories per month. they could come up with multiple categories and could really limit your rebate.

I have the Chase Freedom card and the three categories are the three you use most each month. And, if you let your reward get to $200 they send you $250.
There is no free lunch. Rewards, rebates, etc. etc. are gimmicks to get you to use their card so they can make money. All I want is a card! No gimmicks, no frills, no rewards, no rebates and no annual fees. You can bet that YOU will end up paying for the gimmicks. We pay it off every month, so could care less about all the rest.
