I chose Maxxair for the style and warranty... plus the numerous recommendations here.

Here is the Fan Mate 800 over our Fantastic Fan.

Here is a side shot showing the Maxxair II up front and Fan Mate 800 at the rear.

I have the Maxx and a Rambler. If you are placing it over a power vent such as a "Fantastic", you MUST use a Maxx.

1. In a big hail storm you'll be glad that the vent cover went before the integral vent cover. Been there done that in the big hail storm we had here in NoVa.

2. I never open my vents normally, but use the covers to keep the vents at the front and back of the trailer open when not in use for ventilation purposes along with cracking a window or tow for circulation and mildrew prevention.

LOL that thing on the back almost looks like an airfoil or "wing" on such a small trailer.

I bought three of the Rambler covers because they are on sale --- installed one today, it am concerned with how much it restricts how far the vent can open --- maybe only halfway or so ... maybe the vents Jayco uses have a higher dome than is typical?? Anyhow ....

Decided to wait and see how it works out before installing the other two.

Installation was simple and straightforward. Took more time to get the tools together and get up on the roof than it did to actually do the job.

I prefer Camco Aero-Flo vent covers myself. They're vented on three sides, and the hinged top makes cleaning very easy.

I bought 3 Ramble vent covers. I installed 2 and then when I got to the power vent fan, the available area to attach brackets was very small and was in the plastic sidewall of the power vent. All installed really tight but I am afraid the movement of the cover may fatigue the plastic and cause the cover to come off in the passing wind. Any thoughts or advice??

Why??? My Fantastic vent fan works fine with the Ramble over it.
